Vatana Curry
Rich and spicy white peas curry with onion-tomato gravy

Ingredients
- 1 cup white vatana, soaked overnight
- 2 onions, pureed
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
Method

Pressure cook soaked vatana until tender.

Heat oil, add cumin, saute onion puree until deep golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree, cook 10 minutes.

Add coriander powder, turmeric and chili powder.

Add cooked vatana with water and simmer 15 minutes.

Finish with garam masala and serve with puri or rice.
