Fresh turmeric root stir-fry with potatoes and spices

Ingredients
- 200g fresh turmeric root, sliced
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 green chilies
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil
Method

Heat oil, add mustard and cumin seeds.

Add sliced fresh turmeric and potato cubes.

Add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and a splash of water.

Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes until potatoes are done.

Add green chilies and cook uncovered until slightly crispy.

Serve with hot rotis and dal.
