  • 1/2 cup soya chunks
  • 1.5 cups basmati rice
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp ghee

Method

    Soak soya chunks in hot water, squeeze dry.

    Heat ghee, add cumin and whole spices.

  3. 3

    Add onion, saute golden, then add vegetables and soya.

  4. 4

    Add washed rice, water and salt.

  5. 5

    Cook covered on low for 15 minutes.

    Fluff with fork and serve with raita.
