Ingredients
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 2 dried red chilies
- 8-10 curry leaves
- Pinch of hing
- 2 tbsp oil
Method

Heat oil in a small pan until hot.

Add mustard seeds and wait for them to pop.

Add urad dal and let it turn golden.

Add dried red chilies, curry leaves and hing.

The tempering sizzles and becomes fragrant in seconds.

Pour immediately over dal, sambar, chutney or rice dishes.
