Yogurt-based kadhi with crispy besan pakoras and mustard tadka

Ingredients
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup besan
- 1 onion, sliced (for pakoras)
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Curry leaves
- Oil for frying
Method

Make pakoras: mix besan with onion, salt and water, deep fry spoonfuls.

Whisk yogurt with besan and water for kadhi base.

Boil kadhi with turmeric and salt, simmer 20 minutes.

Add fried pakoras to kadhi and cook 5 more minutes.

Temper with mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves in hot oil.

Serve over steamed rice with a drizzle of ghee.
