Rich traditional moong dal halwa with ghee and dry fruits

Ingredients
- 1 cup moong dal
- 1 cup ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Almonds, pistachios, cashews
Method

Soak moong dal for 4 hours, grind to a coarse paste.

Heat ghee in a heavy pan, add dal paste and roast on low heat.

Keep stirring for 30 minutes until golden and fragrant.

Add warm milk gradually, continue stirring.

Add sugar and cardamom, cook until mixture thickens and leaves sides.

Garnish with sliced dry fruits and serve warm.
