Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong chilka dal
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Method

    Soak moong chilka dal and rice separately for 4 hours.

    Grind together with green chilies, ginger and salt to a smooth batter.

    Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.

    Heat a flat tawa, spread batter thin in circular motion.

    Drizzle oil around edges, cook until crispy and golden.

    Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
