Crispy pan-fried moong bean tikkis with green chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong beans, boiled
  • 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for pan frying

Method

    Mash boiled moong beans and mix with mashed potato.

    Add onion, green chilies, ginger, garam masala and salt.

    Shape into flat round tikkis and coat with breadcrumbs.

    Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry until golden on both sides.

    Drain on kitchen paper.

    Serve hot with green mint chutney and tamarind sauce.
