Ingredients
- 1 cup masoor dal
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- Almonds and pistachios
- Saffron strands
Method

Soak masoor dal for 4 hours, grind to a smooth paste.

Heat ghee, add the dal paste and roast on low for 20 minutes.

Keep stirring until the mixture turns golden and aromatic.

Add milk gradually, continue cooking and stirring.

Add sugar, cardamom and saffron, cook until it leaves the sides.

Garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios, serve warm.
