Quick everyday masoor dal curry with aromatic tempering

Ingredients
- 1 cup masoor dal
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Fresh coriander
Method
- 1
Wash masoor dal and cook with turmeric and salt (no soaking needed).

Heat ghee, add cumin seeds and garlic.

Add onion, cook until golden, then add tomatoes.

Add red chili powder and cook until tomatoes are soft.

Add cooked dal, simmer for 10 minutes.

Garnish with coriander and serve with rice or roti.
