  • 1/2 cup madhi toor dal
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method

    Wash dal and rice together.

    Heat ghee in cooker, add cumin seeds.

    Add dal, rice, turmeric, salt and water.

  4. 4

    Pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium.

    Mash lightly and top with generous ghee.

    Serve with kadhi, pickle and papad.
