Tangy yogurt kadhi served alongside madhi toor dal

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup madhi toor dal
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp besan
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- 2 green chilies
- Pinch of hing
Method

Cook madhi dal separately until soft.

Whisk yogurt with besan and water until smooth.

Boil the yogurt mixture with sugar, green chilies and salt.

Simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Temper with mustard seeds, curry leaves and hing.

Serve kadhi and dal together over hot steamed rice.
