Sweet Maharashtrian flatbread stuffed with dal-jaggery filling

Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal
- 1 cup jaggery, grated
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- Oil for dough
Method

Cook dal until very soft, drain excess water completely.

Add jaggery to hot dal, cook on low until it forms a thick paste (puran).

Add cardamom and nutmeg, let it cool.

Make soft dough with flour, turmeric and oil, rest 30 minutes.

Stuff puran balls inside dough balls, roll out thin.

Cook on hot tawa with ghee until golden spots on both sides.
