Comforting one-pot toor dal and rice khichdi with ghee

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup toor dal
- 1 cup rice
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 4 cups water
- Salt to taste
- Papad and pickle for serving
Method

Wash dal and rice together, soak for 15 minutes.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds.

Add dal, rice, turmeric, salt and water.

Pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.

Mash lightly and serve with generous ghee on top.

Pair with papad, pickle and kadhi.
