Fragrant basmati rice pulao with sweet green peas

Ingredients
- 1 cup green peas
- 1.5 cups basmati rice
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tbsp ghee
Method

Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes.

Heat ghee, add cumin, bay leaf, cloves and cinnamon.

Add onion slices and saute until golden.

Add peas and rice, saute for 2 minutes.

Add water and salt, cook covered on low for 15 minutes.

Fluff with fork and serve with raita or dal.
