Classic North Indian matar paneer in creamy tomato gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup green peas
  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 2 onions, pureed
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method

    Fry paneer cubes until golden, set aside.

    Saute onion puree until golden, add ginger-garlic paste.

    Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates.

  4. 4

    Add peas, spices and a little water, cook 10 minutes.

    Add fried paneer and cream, simmer 5 minutes.

    Garnish with coriander and serve with naan or paratha.
