Dal Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal
- 2 cups rice
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 garlic cloves
- Curry leaves
- Pinch of hing
- 3 tbsp ghee
- Salt to taste
Method

Cook toor dal with turmeric until soft and mushy.

Cook rice separately until fluffy.

Heat ghee, add cumin, garlic, curry leaves and hing.

Pour tempering over the dal, mix well.

Serve hot dal over steamed rice with a spoon of ghee.

Pair with papad, pickle and salad.
