Royal Mughlai paneer in rich creamy cashew-clove gravy

Ingredients

  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 10 cashews, soaked
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Saffron strands
  • 3 tbsp ghee

Method

    Grind soaked cashews and fried onions to a smooth paste.

    Heat ghee, add cloves and other whole spices.

    Add ginger-garlic paste, then the cashew-onion paste.

    Cook for 10 minutes, add cream and saffron milk.

    Add paneer cubes and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

    Finish with garam masala, serve with naan or paratha.
