Subtly flavoured clove-infused rice for special occasions

Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4-5 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 green cardamom
- 1 tbsp ghee
- Salt to taste
- 3.5 cups water
Method

Wash and soak rice for 20 minutes.

Heat ghee, add cloves, bay leaf and cardamom.

When spices sizzle, add drained rice and saute 2 minutes.

Add water and salt, bring to boil.

Cover tightly and cook on low for 15 minutes.

Rest 5 minutes, remove whole spices, fluff and serve.
