Traditional golden besan ladoo with ghee and cardamom

Ingredients

  • 2 cups besan
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • Almonds, chopped

Method

    Heat ghee in a heavy pan, add besan flour.

    Roast on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring continuously.

    The besan should turn golden brown and release a nutty aroma.

    Remove from heat, cool slightly and add powdered sugar and cardamom.

    Add chopped almonds, mix well while still warm.

    Shape into round ladoos and let them set completely.
