Creamy almond milk with saffron and cardamom

Ingredients

  • 15 almonds
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • Saffron strands

Method

    Soak almonds for 1 hour, peel and grind to smooth paste with milk.

    Boil remaining milk in a pan.

    Add almond paste, sugar, saffron and cardamom.

    Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5

    Strain if desired for a smoother texture.

  6. 6

    Serve hot in winter or chilled in summer.
