Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • Saffron strands
  • Pistachios for garnish

Method

    Soak almonds for 2 hours, peel and grind to a fine paste.

    Heat ghee, add almond paste and roast on low for 15 minutes.

    Add milk gradually, keep stirring constantly.

    Add sugar and saffron, cook until mixture thickens.

  5. 5

    When halwa leaves the sides of the pan, it is ready.

    Garnish with pistachios and serve warm.
