Ingredients
- 1/2 cup urad chilka dal
- 6 dried red chilies
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 garlic cloves
- Pinch of hing
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil
Method

Dry roast urad dal in a pan until golden and fragrant.

Roast dried red chilies, cumin and garlic separately.

Let everything cool completely.

Grind to a coarse powder with salt and hing.

Store in airtight container for up to a month.

Mix with sesame oil and serve with hot rice and ghee.
